ABOUT US
Natural Wonders Trees — built on genuine ISA certification, proper credentials, and a standard of work you can actually verify. Serving Southern California since 2007.
Meet the Founder
ISA Certified Arborist · Founder & Owner — Natural Wonders Trees
Juan founded Natural Wonders Trees in 2007 with a single, non-negotiable goal: bring genuinely certified, professional tree care to Southern California homeowners and property managers who were tired of unlicensed crews guessing their way through jobs. He'd seen firsthand the damage an untrained operator could do to a mature tree — topping cuts that opened the door for disease, improper rigging that put rooftops at risk, crews who disappeared after creating hazards. He knew there was a better way.
From the beginning, Juan committed to earning — and maintaining — every credential the industry recognizes. He passed the International Society of Arboriculture's rigorous certification exam, earned the Certified Tree Safety Professional designation through the Tree Care Industry Association, and obtained California contractor licensure. These aren't plaques on a wall. They're active credentials with continuing education requirements that Juan renews every three years because the science of tree care keeps advancing.
Every job is held to ANSI A300 pruning standards with proper rigging and safety practices. No tree spikes, no improper topping, no unsafe shortcuts. He still shows up on complex removals and large commercial jobs himself, because he believes the best quality control is the owner being on-site.
Over nearly 20 years, Juan has built a team that shares his values: trained, respectful crew members who treat your property with care, communicate clearly about what they're doing and why, and leave every job site cleaner than they found it. Natural Wonders Trees is a Simi Valley company through and through — serving the communities Juan's team lives in, invested in the health of Southern California's urban forest for the long run.

SINCE 2007
Natural Wonders Trees started in 2007 with a simple goal — give Southern California homeowners access to honest, professional tree care from a crew that actually knows what they're doing. No unlicensed shortcuts, no guesswork, no damage left behind.
That mission hasn't changed. What started as Juan and a truck in Simi Valley has grown into a full team serving 27 cities, but the standard is the same on every job — show up prepared, do the work right, and leave the property cleaner than we found it.

Hiring an unlicensed tree company can leave you personally liable if a worker gets hurt on your property — California law places that burden on the homeowner. Our workers' compensation coverage means you have zero exposure.
Our CSLB license is verifiable at any time on the California state website. Our ISA certification means our arborists are held to a professional code of ethics and continuing education requirements — not just someone with a chainsaw.
